Poppies are in full bloom in Canada right now. They are so pretty as pods and then you get a gorgeous bloom too!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’m gathering pics and doing projects but couldn’t miss posting today. I know summer solstice technically arrived yesterday at 10:04 pm but I’m still going to wish you a Happy Summer today! I read somewhere that a good ritual for summer solstice is to consolidate your energy. I like that tip.
At the nursery I took a few shots of some interesting agaves and aloes. There is one I just can’t remember the name. It’s the mystery plant.
For most images I listed the common or ‘pet’ name as opposed to the botanical name. The real names are too tricky and hard to remember and the pet names are pretty cute:)
Here are some pics of a recent project I did for someone who was doing interior design for a new office space in Santa Monica. Since the plants will be inside I had to do some special soil treatments in order to keep the roots dry for the succulents and blue agave.
For a west coast modern feel I added a driftwood embellishment to one of the succulent arrangements.
Earth Day is a wonderful celebration of our beautiful planet Earth and all it has to offer. It is also a day to remind ourselves that even the smallest efforts can lead to big changes on our planet.
Today I took a moment to reflect by touring my outdoor space surrounding my home and capturing images of the different spring growth occurring.
One of the pictures that is pretty funny is the little tree planted over by our fireplace. It was our Christmas tree two years ago and we replanted it. The climate isn’t right and the poor thing isn’t sure what to do but it is green and still growing!
