It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’m gathering pics and doing projects but couldn’t miss posting today. I know summer solstice technically arrived yesterday at 10:04 pm but I’m still going to wish you a Happy Summer today! I read somewhere that a good ritual for summer solstice is to consolidate your energy. I like that tip.
It’s officially spring and flowers are blooming like crazy. On one of the blogs I follow called Manger I saw the prettiest image of flowers growing in a vineyard (first image below).
I was inspired to find some other beautiful images of flowers growing in fields.

How do you know when the beautiful Ranunculus flowers are in season? 3 big beautiful bunches for 10 bucks at the farmers market is a good indication. I love these flowers so much and would buy them all the time but most of the year they are very expensive. I was so excited to see big bunches of the beautiful flowers all over the market yesterday. I really like the variegated one at the bottom, sort of reddish-purple. Beautiful!
Spring is officially here.
As if on cue, this pink flowering shrub sprang out at me on my way to the beach yesterday. It had an intoxicating fragrance and the color was so pretty and feminine. These flowers would be amazing used in a head crown. I have to find out what kind of shrub this is though! Anyone?
I have been so bad about posting lately but not because there’s a lack of beautiful flowers out there! I’ve seen so many pretty flowers recently and love the spring greens and whites that are popping up everywhere.
I had fun recycling one of my old TOMS shoes today. My toe nail had worn through the fabric and I was starting to get a leak on the sole. The fabric worked great as fill for these lovely succulents in these seed pods. I also made a few fabric flowers here and there. This was only one shoe! I’m saving the other shoe for another cool project:)
